The energy sector, strategic investments, and the strengthening of energy connectivity between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania were the central topics discussed during the inaugural meeting between Burim Ljatifi, Director General of AD MEPSO, and Skerdi Drenova, Director of Albania's transmission network operator, OST.
Highlighting the importance of implementing strategic projects, both leaders reaffirmed that the market coupling process remains a top priority for their respective organizations and will be the primary area of focus moving forward.
The meeting, considered highly constructive, also explored opportunities for future collaboration. Discussions included plans to foster the development of the energy sector through regular joint meetings between MEPSO and OST teams in Struga and Pogradec, as well as initiatives to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, benefitting both countries.
