The Transmission System Operators of the Republic of North Macedonia and Republic of Albania, AD MEPSO and OSTcarry on with the preparations for connection via the new interconnection transmission line.
The management teams of the companies held a meeting at the main office of OST in Tirana in order to exchange information regarding the current condition of the project for interconnection of North Macedonia and Albania.The General Director of AD MEPSO Kushtrim Ramadani and the CEO of OST Mr.SkendiDrenova shared information concerning the detailed design and agreed to form a mixed working group consisting of engineers and managers from both of the TSOs whose task would be to coordinate and accelerate the activities on the field for the construction of the 400 kV interconnection line. The first meeting of this working group is arranged for the end of April.
At the working meeting, which was held in the spirit of mutual respect and eagerness for an improvement in relations to achieve active collaboration between the management teams of the companies, participated BorkoAleksovski, Director of the Transmission System Operator, subsidiary of AD MEPSO and Veton Shaipi, Head of the Project Implementation Unit, while the Albanian side was represented by the Directors DorjanSejamini and SokolDishnica.
In this capital project that includes construction of 400 kV transmission line with length 97 kilometres from Bitola to the Macedonian-Albanian border and new 400/110 kV substation near Ohrid, will be invested €35 million.
